Turmeric

Many sources may claim it to be, “the most effective supplement in existence” which I believe is a bit dramatized, but regardless, it has a plethora of positive health effects many could benefit from.

A Phenomenal Supplement

Turmeric, that orange stuff you use as a seasoning sometimes, is a phenomenal supplement I’ve been taking regularly for a few years now. Curcumin, which is the main ingredient of turmeric, is known for its incredible anti-inflammatory effects. It also functions as an antioxidant.

While slight inflammation is necessary for development of lean tissue, chronic inflammation is a major cancer to society. We all know someone who deals with chronic inflammation. Turmeric-Curcumin has been shown to be just as effective as several anti-inflammatory drugs (minus the ridiculous side effects that come with many of those anti-inflammatory drugs). Given these anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric-curcumin, it has been shown to improve feeling and significantly reduce pain in those who suffer from arthritis. In most studies, the dose of turmeric is typically 500-2,000 mg per day.

If you decide to give this supplement a shot, I would recommend being sure to purchase one that has a 95% curcumin extract.
