One of my all time favorite quotes is, “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail”
This is true in many aspects of life, but I’ve found it to be brutally accurate in relation to diet.
I’m currently finishing up a fat loss phase, with 3 weeks left to go, my calories are currently pretty tight. That being said, preparation is the name of the game to stay on track, especially when you’re working with very little wiggle room. Every week, Brianna and I meal prep on Sundays. As simple as a few pounds of ground beef, chicken, or steak. Added with rice, sweet potato, or any of the other foods you’d find on our free food list.
This is crucial to adherence. If you find yourself in the middle of the day with no good choices around and you’re starving, you’re likely to hit the fast food drive-throughs or grab a quick snack from a gas station. Meal prep is also a great way to stick to the plan with less mental effort, life gets crazy and distracting, so the less you have to consider in the moment, the better.
Trust me when I say, your diet will go much more as anticipated the more you prepare.
