My Supplement Routine

I seemed to be asked about supplementation more often than anything. While I always admire and appreciate a desire to be better and improve health, it’s important to keep in mind that no matter how great your supplement routine is, it does not make up for a poor diet and exercise regimen. However, these supplements do have a place once you have the hang on a generally healthy and active lifestyle.

Here’s every supplement I take daily and a few reasons why!

Magnesium Glycinate 

400mg nightly for:

  • Improved Sleep
  • Improved Muscle and Nerve Function
  • Improved Mood (Reduction in Anxiety and Depression)

Turmeric Curcumin

2,000mg nightly for:

  • Reduction of inflammation

Biotin

10,000 mcg nightly for:

  • Hair
  • Skin
  • Nails

Fish Oil

1,000mg nightly for:

  • General health
  • Reduction of inflammation
  • Brain and nerve function

Vitamin D

10,000 IUs every morning for:

  • Improved carbohydrate usage
  • Improved absorption of magnesium and calcium
  • Bone health

There’s nothing magical about my current list of supplements, it’s subject to change as time goes on and more research is released. Again, what’s important is that whatever supplements you decide to take are coupled with an active, happy, healthy lifestyle.
